I had put my 20s on my car and they were riding fine until my front driver side brake kept locking on the rotor now is gotten too loud too drive so i took the rims off. after that they are still rubbing. could this be that i need new rotors and pads or new calipers?

the 20's don't have anything to do with it.

Sounds like you let the pads wear completely out. And now they are wearing into the rotors. You may have to get new calipers too.

Responsible motoring is keeping a check on all vitals. Brakes are the most important part of your car.
Doean't matter how fast you can go or how cool some mods look If you can't stop.
I say take it to a competant mechanic. RITE AWAY!

if it sounds like an apache helicopter whenever you brake then you you're probably down to the metal pressure plate and thus will need new pads. and get a set of rotors since metal on metal braking isn't the most pleasant combo to be using on the streets.

If this is happening even when you are NOT braking it sounds like a seized caliper. It may need to be replaced or rebuilt. If you end up having to do this do both fronts at the same time. If you drove like this for a while the rotor will probably have burn marks and discolorations from getting real hot.

If the noise is only when you brake I agree with Tonyc and jspecdan. You can usually see deep groves on the face of the rotor as a result of a metal to metal (no more brake pad) situation. Check it with your hand AFTER IT HAS COMPLETELY COOLED. I have seen people skip this step - ouch.
