Hi guys, been a while and i was reading through the forum and notice this thread. Is there a rebuilding kit for the CS’s so a local shop can refurbish them? I can’t afford shipping them all the way from Saudi to Japan or to the USA for a 300$ job!

A co worker of mine had a Tein coilover fail about 11 months after getting them. Took a LONG time to get it back. One of the reasons I have avoided coilovers up to now - I drive a lot and don't want to deal with a failure and the hassle of taking it out and getting it repaired.

I am truly sorry for you. I had to call them repeatedly. They promised they could be done and returned in two weeks if I FedEx'd them, so I did (at no small expense). Six weeks later I was one week from moving across country (CA to GA) and had to have my shocks on my Supra for the drive. I called them again (and again, and again), and they finally gave me this big song and dance about how they had to put a rush on my rebuild and how their rebuild guy was at the track or at the donut shop, or something. I dunno. I was pissed off they lied to me in the first place about having them done in two weeks. The work was fine, but the customer service was the absolute pits.

There is no other place you can get a Tein rebuild that's approved. That's the part that sucks rocks. Never again Tein.

I am curious myself. I have about 15K on mine and it seems like they are already worn out.

How can you tell if your coilovers is worn?

I know people who have coilovers on their cars for 100k+ miles with no problems? Why do people with coilovers on IS350 need rebuilds so quick?

I don't know, But I'll be getting my JIC's rebuilt, now that I have the zeal's on.

I'll let you know how they turn out!

Also, i am going to do a custom spring / valving setup, to make them more stiff, or at least ask them to, we'll see if they can do it
