Default replacing broke rear sway bar link

For anyone that has experience replacing a rear sway bar end link - I am having difficulty trying to get a new end link down in the lower control arm (the lower attachment point opposite the sway bar attachment point). I had a heck of a time getting the broken link out (it's a tight fit) of the lower control arm, but am having even less good fortune getting the new link in. Anyone with a similar experience that might have a hot tip or trick here?

Heh. You're suppose to loosen the shock bolt. The shock bolt is what's keeping the endlink inside the control arm.
