Default rear rotors

where do you guys buy these from? i've looked at the ones that places like autozone and napa sell, they are not vented discs like the oem ones and most of them have some fitment issues (read old threads about scraping from the rear when using aftermarket rotors).

The rears are not vented like the fronts, they are solid. And yes you're right...some aftermarket rotors will make scraping noise. (I think its a hit or miss) I put ebay brembo drilled/slotted on my GS and it made a scraping noise but it eventually went away so no big deal. I recently put some Wagner rear rotors on my wife's IS from O'reillys because I didn't have time to order online. There are no problems or noise. Check out tirerack for brakes.

hmm i thought the original rear rotors were vented too, but i'll admit it's been a while since i looked at them so i could be wrong. it's been my experience that the rear rotors that have scraping issues also have vibration issues, based on old posts i think some others (but not all) have noted that too.

My $.02 - Buy OEM rotors from a Lexus dealer. Not worth saving a few bucks on something as important as brakes.

Default get the stock ones

get the stock rotors and pads for rear brakes, if you are not planning to do a BBK, aftermarket will make too much noise, make weird clicking noise, in short th e aftermarket pads never set right in the oem rotors, i have tried shimmy kits and etc works for a month or 2, then back to the noise. i have proabaly spend around 300$ in labor and cost to fix the stupid problem, i will just switch to stock in a couple of months if not a BBK for rear
i have brembo drilled rotors and ebc pds, (stock calipers) -rear
BBk rotora front(love it)-front
