Shocks
have a 99GS400 with the orginal shocks on it. It has 126,000 miles and going stroing. My question is what are some signs of the shocks wearing?
I heard if you push down on the front end the car should come up and stop, that means there still good. I can start to feel the road through the steering wheel and doesnt seem to have the firmness when going over bumps.
My car is all orginal, not looking to lower, so any recommendations on shocks is welcomed.
any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks!

I've heard some great things about the Bilstein HD. You might want to contact the folks at Carson Toyota (l-tunedparts) or go to www.tirerack.com. Hope this helps and good luck.

When my GS4 wasn't modded with current
(19s, Eibachs, Daizen bushings, Tein bars, Bilstein Sports, Tom's etc)
I loved my car with the KYB GR2s and stock springs.
great price, firmness, and plush ride... better than stock by 15%

I was reading to check for waron shocks look for rust color stains around the shock for leakage. Does that sound about right?
Bilstein HD seem to be a popular choice. Im not looking to change my springs so stock springs and that shock in your opinion woould be a good choice?
Thanks
