Just wondering though. When you remove the fender wells, don't you get mud/water/dust all over the fender? And evenually that will work its way into the engine bay, headlights, and bumper area. How did you guys deal with that or just didn't care lol? I want to remove mine, but I don't want water and gunk getting all in those areas.

i actually wonder why you need to remove it? i suppose you mean the whole fender plastic flap?? i have rubbing with my 20s, but 1) after a while it will put a hole in the fender but that's fine, better than taking the whole thing out, and 2) if you use heat gun you can take away most of the rubbing anyway

i know people who cut up their fender flaps, dust and what not got in but never heard of issues. never know of someone who completely take it off though

I worked on DallasGS4's Q45 headlight retrofit a while back. He had his whole fender liner removed on both sides. The ABS sensor wire was just dangling there, all the wiring under the headlights were exposed, and the bumper was visible. It didn't look so great, but then again most of the time you're not gonna duck your head down in the fender wells and look around. His car is pretty serious show so he doesn't drive it much (only a few times a month...if even). I don't think he's had any problems so far with the whole thing removed, but then again he doesn't drive around much and only in good weather. I'll ask him about it again sometime soon.

i once knew someone who did this on his show accord coupe because he wanted to run the car totally slammed. well, one day he ran over some sort of road debris at highway speeds and it kicked up into his front fenderwell and put this huge dent into the fender from the inside out... cracked the paint, everything. it caused him a lot of grief and hassle... it needed a new replacement fender, his car had custom paint and they couldn't match it properly so it looked like crap in the end... just not worth it imo
