My Tein Flex is about 2 years old now and the noise level is getting louder and louder. I do not want to make mistake again on buying another coilovers that do not last long enough.

Which coilover would you guys recomend?
1.PSS Bilstein
2.Tein CS ver2
3. Other coilovers

Is the noise a squealing/squeaking sound? Like something is rubbing or scratching on the coilovers? If so, it's due to your dust boots. Most likely they're worn and rubbing against the spring. Just upgrade to the new version dust boots and bump stops to solve that problem for good.

Here's a link to the set I have with the new upgraded boots and stops. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=247690

Note: To do this replacement, it will cost about $75 in parts. Labor to change it will cost about as much as when you paid for the coilovers to be installed. They have to pull your coilovers off the car and disassemble the whole unit, then put everything back together.

Anyways, good luck solving the noise issues. The Tein Flex is a very good set of coilovers, and it should last far longer than 2 years.

Tein Flex come with pillowball mounts whereas the CS is using rubber mounts.
Pillowball mounts may get noisy ofver time.

Jeff, I was reading your trend yesterday and was tempted to get the parts you just replaced. I've also notice that lots of club members like Romani really like CS setup compare to flex coilvers.

Romini, I checked my flex coilovers this afternoon and found out that my edfc motors turns 1200 degrees is this normal? I am afraid I will end up with shorted wire later. I checked the rest of the motor they are all tight. Do you this coilover is damaged or bad?

1200 degrees? you mean it's spinning itself?

i have never installed edfc myself, but seems like it's not secured down right

Yes, I think the coilover spindle is rotating. I tried to tightened once, but I'm afraid of damaging the tread if I went to much.

Default Decided to get a new CS version 2

Just called Luis from Carlson Toyota and ordered a brand new CS ver2.

If anybody is interested on my old flex make an offer. I will sell them AS IS

Just send them back to manufacturer and have them rebuilt.

Default Pick up a new Tein CS ver2

I finally decided to purchased a new CSv2 from Carlson Toyota to replace my flex coilover. How much should I sell this coilovers? I used them for 2 years and approximately 22000 miles?

Well, my set that was just inspected by tein, rebuilt with new boots and bump stops, 15k miles, and used 1 year or so is listed for $750. And there are no takers. Maybe someone will be interested in yours for $400-500?
