Tein CS question
I am putting Tein CS (v1) and rims on my 02 Gs300 in about a week.
Rims are 19x7.5 with 235/35.
How low should I drop it?
What are your recommendations in terms of how many treads to count on the Teins for the front and back?

Drop it as far down as you can go without rubbing. I got 20s on mine and the cs' are almost all the way down in the front and about 1/2 inch away from being all the way down in the back, car sits even, there is no gap between the fender and tires and no rubbing. Tein designed the CS to be able to go as low as the threads allow safely, dont hesitate to lower it down you still wont have clearing issues over speed bumps etc. Everything i just said is just my opinion, thats what i did and would do again, how low/high you like it is your choice!

if you live in CA - i'd be worried about lowering it a whole lot... over the next week - take a special note at how steep some of the driveways are around the normal places that you visit. not only that - steer clear of santa monica blvd- it's waaaaaaaaay messy out there.
if you don't think you'll have a problem - lower it as much as you want, some members on here say the lower the better. some want to still see some gap otherwise the tire looks like it's not all there... just go with what you want but for me - i'm too worried about scraping my front lip so mine is set pretty conservatively at 1.5 fingers front and 1 finger rear.

thanks all for your advice. I guess I was just lazy. I can always drop and check and drop and check. I just really wanted to know where to start in terms of how far up on the coilovers to tighten the locks if I wanted an al1 around 1.75 inch gap.
