Default Tanabe NF210 and Bilstein SP setup

I'm new to the CL family...just got a 99 gs300 a month ago. I got some NF210 from a cl member at a kickass price and was looking at some Bilstein SP....I was wondering if anyone has that setup and how it rides. I've done a search and some people says the bilsteins are too rough and some like it. Theres a lot of threads on eibach/bilstein sp setup....will it be the same for the NF210???

I have stock 17's on right now and want to eventually go 19's or 20's and sways in the future. This is a daily driver/family car. I don't mind if the ride is firm and road noise...I just don't want it to be punishing. I know most of you would recommend the Tein CS2 but I don't have that kind of money to spend. It would be great if there is anyone in Nor Cal/bay area that has similiar setup so I can check it out. Thanks in advance! I'm loving the car...except for the suspension. I'm glad to find this site.

Don't have the exact combination you're looking for, but for what its worth I have the Bilstein Sports with LTuned Springs. Happy with the combination, sporty ride and not harsh. I'm running Daizen sways with upper and lower front braces, adding rear braces soon. I've read good things about the Tanabe Springs on this board.
Cheers,
DJC

When lowering your car with any spring or suspension do you have to trim the bumpstops? How much do you trim it? I will install Tanabe NF210 with KYB this weeken. I heard the ride like stock. any input?

Bilstein SP are too bumpy for the GS300.you'll feel every irregularity on the road.

If you even hope to have any ride comfort,go with Bilstein HD(preferred) or KYB GR-2 shocks.

Even better, stick with your original shocks and just add Daizen sway bars(front and rear) to further preserve your ride quality yet improve handling and flat cornering immensely.

I have Tanabe with KYB GR-2, and a set of Daizen sway bar. The ride it perfect for me, but the ride not that low.

I have this exact set-up on my GS430...Bilstein Sport/Tanabe NF210. I love the firm ride and tight handle, the car is no longer soft or pillowy and I'm no longer getting the floatly feel when changing lanes on the highway..,but I'm getting a slight steering wheel vibration at highways speeds, but the car handle so much better, I will adding front/rear sways as well as front/rear strut bars in the very near future...
