Installing Supra Brakes + Rotors.....Question?
Ok, I'm about to drop on the supra brakes and rotors on my car. Just wondering tho. I have the Rotora slotted rotors. Which way do the slots face? Or is it just a matter of how the vanes are curved. Im installing them with the vanes curving front to back. I think thats the correct way. If im wrong correct me.
EDIT: Ok, here are the pix.
Ok, thats how I had the rotors on when I first installed. Then I went and flipped the sides because I read up on the stoptech article of which way the vanes should face regardless of the slot cut direction.
This is how it looks right now. The vanes currently curve backwards, and the slots also face backwards. I hope I did it right
I'll have the DIY up on ProjectGS DIY page in a day or two

Your are right it the vanes directions that matter.
Not sure about the directions though. I think as the rotor spins forward the vanes should be pushing the heat from the center of the rotor outward not trying to force air into the rotor as it spins. So opening facing torwards the rear.
I hope that's right.

They go backwards like / towards the caliper. You should have a diagram with the Rotoras unless they are used. I can snap a pic but I am sure if you search lots of pics are on here.

The StopTech AeroRotors® are directional. If they are not installed on the proper side of the vehicle, airflow will be restricted and cooling will be severely diminished. The vanes on a rotor act like a centrifugal air fan, drawing air from the inside of the rotor and flowing it to the outside. The vanes of a directional rotor should arch back like arms on a pinwheel. On the top side of the rotor, the vanes should curve toward the back of the car.

AZDesertGS, I checked the stoptech site. It is as you said, curving to the back of the car. I have rotora rotors that are also curve vane, but I installed the curving to the front. Do you think the rotoras follows the same design spec as the stoptech rotors? The rotora website sucks pretty bad. No instructions or anything!
Still, it stops like a beast right now

Anyways I have it installed Drivers / and Passenger \
I looked at the vanes and it is matched up accordingly to how it is on the stoptech pictured above. Maybe my rotoras were cut with the slots on the wrong direction?
I just went out and did a few 100-5mph stops and the brakes aren't even that hot so I guess I have it the right way....lol

Anyone have a definate answer to my question?
I have my rotors installed so the vanes curve backwards. Thats how the stoptech site says it should be. Then there are a few of you guys with rotora slotted rotors saying that the exterior slots should face foward. Mine slots are facing back, but the vanes also curved back. Unless my set somehow had the slots cut backwards from everyone else?
I bought these used, so no instructions. I'll PM the guy I bought it from, maybe he will still have the manual or at least a pic snaped of his car.
