Have them check your anti squeal shims. Often shops reinstall brakes without installing them properly, and sometimes not at all.
Why?
The reason= Laziness

I have a 350 with 2k miles. The brakes have been silent (and dusty) since day 1.

I have about 13k miles on my IS250, and this problem seems to never go away. Lexus machined the rotors and replaced the pads, but within a few days they started squeaking again. Did anyone solve this annoying problem??

I drive my work van( Chevy Astro or Gmc Safari) very aggressively, speeding braking hard etc. When I went on holidays for 2 weeks another guy ( who will stop at amber lights) who drives very slow and safe drove my van. When I started driving it again, there was no sqeaking of the brakes like there was before. But since I started driving it hard again, it never squeaks on a hard brake......only on the slow ones. My Saab 900 only squeaks when it rains....sometimes.

Do yo drive your IS hard? Is this problem only on IS250's or on 350's also?

i get the squeal too... only hear it when the windows are down and i'm about to come to a complete stop. also only when i'm braking lightly. i took it in to the dealer but for some reason it wasn't making the noise when i pulled in. they said they'll look at it but then i'd have to wait a while. service guy also suggested there might be some residue or whatever on there that is making the noise and it'll go away eventually. but the sound never goes away permanently. i guess i'll just monitor it till i take it in for my 5000 maintenance and have em check it then.

i really have no problem with the squeal... except that its kinda embarassing if cars around you can hear it and then they look over at you. of course they're thinking... dang brand new car and squeaky brakes already?
