Brake Upgrade 4 these SC300 wheels?
The LS400 brakes & Supra TT brake work great on the sc300's with supra tt wheels and other high disc fitment wheels. But, since those LS400 brakes won't fit on these stock SC300 wheels, are there any other manufacturer brakes (mazda maybe?) that will be a good cost effective upgrade?

I think the Supra TT wheels are the only ones with any real certainty of fitting. I'm still waiting for a deal on them actually....all my LS brake components are here....but not the wheels...I can wait though. Brake pads on stock brakes are still new.

Don't waste your time on fittment from SOBs (some other brands).
Upgrade your existing brakes with:
- better brake pads all around. Can do some searching on SC's specifically but many have had good experiences with Axxis, Hawk, EBC
- stainless steel brake lines
- Upgraded higher temp synthetic brake fluid w/ a full flush. I like ATE Super Blue but Motul and Valvoline make good stuff as well.

You could try getting a set of SC400 Brakes w/ upgraded rotors, pads, and brake lines. The SC4 calipers and rotors are slightly larger than SC3 brakes. I just switched out my stock SC3 brakes for SC4 calipers, slotted/drilled rotors, EBC pads, and Goodridge Brake lines. The results were good - noticable difference in stopping power. Good luck.

I agree with DaveGS4
Unless you are planning on some serious track time, just upgrade your stockers with better pads, rotors, fluid.
I went with TT brakes all around because my car needed everything when I bought it but I regret it. The brake clearance is a pain in the *** and I've had no luck finding affordable TT wheels yet.

I measured a 1995 LS400's wheels and they were 16inch, not 17inch. So, LS400 brakes can fit high disc fitment 16inch wheels it seems . Since I like having a full size spare tire in the trunk, why not get some decent 17inch high disc fitment wheels of equal width and run 245 width tires front and back? This way, I can have ls400 front brakes + supra TT rear brakes, rotate all my tires easier, have slightly better grip (225 width vs. 245), and have a full size spare. What do you all think?
