Default Need Opinions on what brakes to get

I'm looking into getting rotors/pads for my car. I saw the rotora slotteds on carson so i was plannin on getting these with the stainless lines to help with the mushy pedal and factory pads. Anyone have this setup, or can recommend another one? Thanks

I would HIGHLY recommend a Stoptech big brake kit. FAR better feel and stopping power. The stock brakes leave a lot to be desired. I kept cooling the pads and rotors no matter what I tried. Only thing that solved the issue was the Stoptech 355mm front kit. I can NEVER go back to stock brakes now.

Thanks for the opinions guys but im trying to keep this on the lower price spectrum, aka not spending 3500 bucks on a brake kit. I'm by no means racing the thing Just replacing with parts a "hair" better than stock.....

SS lines, slotted rotors, ebc green stuff.

Drilled oem replacements have much less metal and are prone to warp.

assuming that your wheels will clear ... then the Supra TT will be the cheapest way to get big brakes, but will still hugely improve the braking.

well it all depends....

stoptech - best bang for the buck
endless - very exclusive, budget is not the vocabulary when you mention endless lol
brembo - also a very good choice as well....when a common car enthusiasts thinks of brakes...they prolly think of brembo first

I went the route that johnathan suggested and am very happy with the outcome, there is a huge improvement at a relatively reasonable cost.

I didint have 2500-3500 for a bbk either..

The pads and the lines make the biggets difference if you ask me, you could forgo the rotors if you did the others.

The rotors need to be replaced just because they are warped and shake my wheel when I really lay on them on the highway....

Will the green stuffs be noisy or leave horrible amounts of brake dust? also, suggestions on the best place to find them? thanks for all the quick replies.

be cautious using the ebc greenstuff pads.. the overheat easily and leaves sploaches on the rotors.. they were never really designed for such a heavy car .. use the redstuff ceramics instead with a good quality brembo sport slotted rotor and stainless lines .. this only applies if you dont drive very aggressively and dont plan on upping to 19-20 in wheels , if so all bets are off you will need the supra tt or better yet ls430 4piston fronts with ls430 larger 2 piston rears to make for a decent and effective upgrade

I'd highly recommend you upgrade the brake fluid at the same time to something like ATE Superblue or Motul. Others have also recommended Valvoline Synthetic for something slightly less $$.

the superblue as dave suggests is outstanding stuff i use it myself but be careful with the synthetic stuff for its not compatable with standard fluid , it does not react well as most synthetic labels i have read . the whole system would have to be purged of the standard fluid to use the synthetic stuff
