Driver side leaning

I just install new shocks, springs and LCA's but the driver side of the car is still about a half in lower than the passenger. What could this be? Do I need upper control arm bushings too or is this just normal for the car?

could be the springs. seems a lot of eibach people lean to one side, myself included

blaznsc4 before he had teins he brought some shackles that compress a few coils of his eibach spring and it made the car a even drop. it was only like 10 bucks for them

I've got the espelir/tokico blues and my drivers side is lower too.

Seems to be a common problem with the SC's. I have the same problem. When I changed my shocks, I even moved the passenger springs to the drivers side and the drivers side to the passanger side and it still did the same thing. I guess i'm going to have to get a set of coilovers eventually.

yes this is true. my first suspension setup was tokico blues with eibach springs and it sags on the whole driver side. so i went to pep boys and bought a set of shackles which came in four (two shackles for each spring). after install it still sag a lil but not very noticable.

how hard is it to install these shackles? my driver side is really leaning its insane, i have to get this thing even on both sides...

those shacles are only a band-aid....they don't fix the problem and make your car ride worse.

someone on here posted a thread about their swar bar being in the wrong position and causing the leaning....

so pretty much the eibachs will just sit this way?? i know this sounds ricy, but can i cut the springs on the passenger side to lower it somemore?? or just save up and get the full suspension like tein,etc...

I don't think its the eibachs, it has to be something else in the car. Stock springs have the same rate on both sides and don't always sag but even before I put in my eibachs the car started to sag a little on the drivers side, the eibachs just made this more noticible. Others have to adjust their coilovers to compensate for it. It could be the sway bar connection like someone mentioned but it doesn't make much sense since my sways haven't been touched since out of factory. It might some other suspension component that bends over time due to driver weight. It would be nice if we could figure out the real cause of it.

yeah i would like to know the real cause as well since my sway bars havent been touched, and now i have no finger gap on the wheel wells on drivers and like 3 finger gap in the passenger side, way too off for me :thumbdn:

I'm' not sure either. Could it be the cars weight difference? The driver side seems to be heavier w/ the heavy ass driver seat!

Lvangundy Oct 5, 2005 05:53 AM

Could this be the recently pointed out sway bar upside-down / up issue?

I don't know where the thread is, but the sway bar end link was up on one side..something like that.

howiedoit Oct 5, 2005 07:19 AM

i suspect that the sway bar end-link problem isn't the issue in most people's leaning problems, but it's a possibility. please take a look at the entire thread because the proper position of the end-links is addressed towards the end.

here's the link. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=177329
