I could do it 6 hours with rhino ramps/jackstands, and mostly using hand tools. A shop using a lift and air tools should be able to do it in 4-5 hours labor
i was quoted 400-500 cant quite remeber. that was just labor and i told them no thanks. and have been shifting like a grandma ever since. oh well when i get enough$ ill reconsider the issue.
I was told 350 by aamaco, and 370 by JAR. Both of these shops are in midtown ATL. Of course, neither of these places will install any clutch that you bring to them. They will only warranty work and parts that they buy and install so you'd have to ditch the aftermarket clutch route. After parts were added to the mix, i was quoted 700 by aamaco, and 750 by JAR. This beats what the dealership told me though ($1200 ). There was no way i was paying all that cash, so instead i had a transmission specialist shop in my rinky dink little hometown do it for $250 cash, all i had to do was buy a clutch kit (i found one on ebay for $100).
