There are tons of suspension tuning parts for the SC. Anything you can do to the Supra you can do to the SC. There are also a few memebers here on ClubLexus that actually go out on weekends and take their SC for a slide. You can try checking out the "DRIFT" section for other members that might post up.

As far as suspension mods, I know you can fully customize everything. There is aftermarket support for things you might have not even heard of. It just takes a little search and some patience and you'll see just how much can be done.

Any 1JZ questions can be answered in the "Performance" section. Good luck with your project. Be sure to post some pics on your progress. Lets bring home another beast!

If you weld the diff right it won't break. but as far as diffs go I wouldn't say the supra TT LSD is cheap. Don't they go for around $700. You can get a brand 2-way for $800.

Oh yeah who uses a 1way LSD to drift?

If you want to get serious about drifting. Bring the car to the track. Drive it around as stock as possible. by the end of the day, i guarantee you will learn A LOT more than you think you would. the instructors would also help you out with tips!

all i had on my car was Espelir springs 17x9s F 15x7s R. Don't worry about the parts on your car/ or spring rates. Drive the car and feel it out.

I'd suggest running SilkRoads! i forgot what the spring rates were but they are really beginner friendly, but still perfect for daily driving.

Run a two-way LSD when you know how to control the car when it's stock ! you'll do fine.

hope this helps.
