One more question to throw out there in case anyone is still looking at this thread For those that are running only the front bbk, what color did you paint the rear stock calipers? I have mine painted black now, the only color I would paint stock, and am thinking about going red with the bbk. I really think I am going to leave the rears black as I dont want to draw attention to them. Would that look out of place, should I just paint them red to match? If stoptech comes out with the rears at a price that isnt too much I will probably go that route but it doesnt seem like they will be ready for a while.

StopTech has a 4 wheel kit, if you want them all to match.

I personally don't think front red BBK calipers with black rear calipers would be good. My front only StopTech BBK have black calipers and I keep promising any day to use the G2 black paint I've got to do the rears stockers. One day.

Mine are red up front and black in the back. I've got no problem with the mismatch and think it looks fine. Red on non-big brakes is not my style...

I have the OE calipers in the rear, painted red to match the front BBK. I also did the cross-drilled rotors and braided brake lines with upgraded pads.

StopTech offers a 14" rear kit (won't fit my rear wheels because I wanted a massive lip, a compromise I made when I spec'd the wheels) and they have a 2-piston rear kit on the way for the GS. You can bet I'll have that on my car ASAP!!

Actually Bob, StopTech is only officially supporting the 2-piston rear when it comes out. redgs4 has the 4-piston rear setup now and StopTech is working with him to get the 2-piston in place. I don't think StopTech would recommend going from the 4 to the 2 if they thought the 4 produced a better balance.

I think I will leave the rears black until I can figure out what stoptech is doing with the rears. Since they will be 2 piston will there be a larger diameter caliper? Im not sure if the wheels I ordered will clear a bbk in the back though.

Hey Paul, I bought the G2 caliper paint because of your write up a long time ago. I am really happy with it. It isnt too glossy which is how I want it. Plus it has proved to be quite sturdy. I had some spray on there before from NXT or something and it just flaked off like nothing was holding it on I prepped it good but didnt help.

Keep the advice and thoughts coming guys

It's hard to tell since StopTech has not released Lexus fitment on the ST-22 calipers yet but from peeking at different diagrams, it you have at least 25mm from the wheel hub, you stand a good chance of fitting the calipers. We'll have to wait and see though.

Brand new wheel fitment template for the two piston rear.

In case some of you aren't familiar with how to use it, here are instructions.

Looking like we are about 6 week lead time at this point for this kit. It's a 355 kit and needs 18" wheels, plus spoke clearance.

I swear, StopTech has the best brake drawings in the business...

I just checked against our forging drawings, and our 20" "super-low disk" clears by 2mm- close, but it'll work. My 20" wheels are golden for this kit!
I can't say for all brands of wheels, but most 19" and 20" low-disk wheels should work for this kit.

Howard, Jeff has the specifics for what I want... red with cross-drilled rotors! Please put me down for a rear 2-piston kit!!

I totally concur. Very detailed and dead on when printed out.

Thanks for the link Howard. There isn't even a link on the website yet. I looked things up earlier (and now).

Any idea what the list price will be?
