It's not the mufflers that hit the 6 link, it's the piping. So if the l-tuned "muffler only" does not hit then any other muffler only kit should also work.

The Tom's obviously should clear both the 6 link and the closed brace. The Carson Tuned follows the Tom's design up to the mufflers so they also work. Any others it's trial and error.

The Tanabe hits both the rear most links of the 6 link and the rear resonators hit the closed Tom's brace.

Yes, it's the pipe. The RMM only hits on the passenger side. The pipe hits the connecting nut on the rear most link (of the 6-link).

We also know that it will hit the RMM, A'PEXi WS, and Tanabe HM.

I was thinking the same thing.

I saw your car at the shop on Saturday and spoke to Nuum. I couldn't wait until you put up your review. I told Joe at the shop that you're just not happy unless you're making me spend money.......LOL.

I thank you for the inspiration, but Joan doesn't share my enthusiasm........go figure. LOL.

Oh and after doing a bit more 'spirited' driving there's no doubt that the back end is better behaved. I LOVE it.

Hmmm....I guess the only solution if for me to get the Carson Tuned exhaust, THEN get the Tom's 6-link!
Glad to hear about the difference it makes, I still feel the need for a little more chassis rigidity. The FLCB and 6 link should take care of it....

that's some good feedback there bit. so seems like me with the rear brace is still not enough. the 6 links are still there for a reason. i am only (very) concerned about teh 6 links with the apexi and how bad it's going to hit

Great report on suspension upgrades, Bit. I noticed you have the TRD LCB up front on your car. Why did you decide to go with that one versus the Tom's LCB? Just looking at the pics, the Tom's seems substantially more robust than even the TRD.

Hi there. I didn't know about the Tom's front LCB when I got the TRD one. I also had the TRD front strut bar originally too (very sturdy) but it wouldn't fit over the Tein EDFC controllers so I switched to the RMM bar.

Thumbs up 6 links

Coilovers, Swaybars and all of Tom's brace's keeps the rear end of my GS400 planted. The links make a very noticeable difference when I push past 80mph on the local uphill sweeper curve. The GS rear end is very loose stock. This stuff is important to keeping it planted if you want to push your car on curves. I probably added 20mph to the speed on this uphill curve after adding this stuff and the rear end stays behind me where it should. Before it wanted to swing out and try to pass the nose of the car. The links really help firm up the rear end,

I can't imagine that these links could interfere with anyones exhaust. Manaray posted a bunch of pictures of them if anyone feels like searching for them.

Why not? In the case of my Tanabe's, the rear most portion of the rear most links hit the pipes before they enter the muffler.

Link hits exhaust at red arrow.
