Tom's Advox Suspension - Good deal?
Hi guys,
I am new to this forum and quickly signed up to get your advice. I found on an ebay seller's website that he has in stock a set of Tom's Advox Suspensions for an Aristo. Anyways, he is selling it used for 1200 USD. Did some search on the internet and saw it for 3K new.
Here is the link for the pictures.

Is this a good deal? I asked if the price is fixed, and he said give him my best offer. So I don't want to blow this chance.
Thanks guy!

Thanks for the advice.
But I really like the Tom's Advox Suspension a lot more. I am not a big fan of tein. Don't know if they are like that for the Lexus. But for the WRX a buddy of mine had, there were lots of problems with it. I am pretty much prepared to buy the Tom's. But just want to know how much you guys think it should be worth.
Thanks.

I agree w/ DrewGS4 100%. Alot of people on the CL have the Teins, and have had no prob. The thing about some Ebay seller is that they sell opened items , refurbs, or returns. So, even if they state " New, and unopened" they might be lying. PLus if you ever had problem with your items most Ebay sellers make it very hard to get a refund esp if its around that price range.

Depending if its comfort or sports type they are worth $2500 and up NEW on Carson toyota's new website. www.l-tunedparts.com
You are certainly getting a good deal...but I would have to agree with drewgs4, get the teins for new, you won't have to worry about how the previous owner used them if they are used. I have the CS kit on my SC and have not had any problems. Tein is a very reliable name imo.

maybe you can try to knock the price down a bit more if possible

I would also go for something new. If you are willing to spend $1200+ get new coilovers.
Tom's Advox are very nice, but are sometimes prone to maintenance... I heard that the Tom's is loosing its pressure relatively easily, and many owners need to send these back to Tom's for reconditioning...

You don't think it's questionable that a guy is selling a $3000 unit for less than 1/2 of it's retail price and then TELL you to make him your best offer?
I would go with what's already proven.
