Brake caliber color dilemma
I'm debating on which color brake should I paint my calibers.... I have a Silver GS4... anyone have pix of different painted caliber on silver GS? I was thinking yellow or blue.. cause red is too common but second thought, red seems to be an all around color or maybe because I'm used to seeing them in reds?

IMO don't do red unless it comes on your aftermarket brakes (Brembo's, etc).
I'd go with black as well on your calipers.

cross drilled slotted rotors are probably the next mod after my body kit.... Thinking painting it a color and put lexus stickers on them. black sorta dims out in the shade. not very attractive. Saw yellow on a white LS430 the other day in SF that thing is all out.

C'mon jtanoyo, you ARE a "real dawg" but I'll second the request for some weight numbers on those DSR's.
OK back on topic.
If you had stock brakes painted red and another GS drove up next to you with these red AP's and you saw him lookin down at your brakes, how would you feel? If you're OK with your answer, then go for it. My vote is Black or silver for your car.

I can tell ya that rotor ain't lighter than the AP Racing rotor. It's one piece vs. an AP 2 piece.

Let me get back to you, coz the numbers were posted a LONG time ago, heck I had this kit on the car for just about a year already.....

yeah i would definitely love to see the numbers themselves. ap racing only has 6 pots for the gs4 so it has to be the one i suppose, otherwise it's pointless comparison. i would be interested to see if it's weigh together with pads and kits as well, that makes difference too.
and yeah, i agree with rmmgs4. rotor weight probably is the killer, spinning unsprung weight, a lot more than static. though somehow i remember that the supra rotor is the same weight as the 2 piece ap racing one coz' ap racing is larger. i am not 100% on that one though, it's just off the top of my head
