I'm in Norman and new to OK and Lexus. Just picked up a beat up 93 SC400 as a project and would love to meet some fellow Lexus fans in the OKC/Tulsa area. Anyway, 'hi' and hope to meet some of you here and in person soon.

haha! John, I am from Edmond, and just picked up a beat up 93 sc400. picked it up in Purcell, last night. missing on what felt like two cylinders, and needs bushings bad.
and a long list of parts, pieces and problems that I haven't even started to assess, yet.

not with the sc. Driving that thing home was the scariest thing I have ever done. needs control arm bushings all around, tires... shoulda trailered it, but the po needed it gone, asap.

Hope to have it safe to drive in a month or so, depending on parts cost.

anybody nearby have a parts car? I need everything for the passenger door, aside from the glass. and I haven't seen a single sc in pull-a-part.

I'll be in Oklahoma City for a few more months, but I can't wait for that big meet in Tulsa next weekend.

 

Hey man, if you need some help with anything on the SC, let me know. I'm not too good mechanical stuff, but I've got a lot of hookups and if I can help with something, I will. I'm right outside of Edmond and I go to UCO. Are you a student around here?

 

nah, not a student. we have a lot of crap work to do to it, just did wires and plugs last night. parts store didn't have any caps/rotors, so I had to order them.
hopefully, that takes care of the miss.
then, just about every control arm bushing is shot, so that is next.
then a major exhaust leak (hopefully, it's just a busted pipe, but haven't put it in the air to see, yet).
