Austin,tx: Roll Call
Anyone know of a cheap place to mount and balance some tires? My friend wants to know for his Honda Fit.
Edit: Never mind. Found out Walmart does them for about $10 bucks lol.

Hey guys -
I'm ready for new tires for my 2009 IS350. I've just ordered Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s (255/40R/18 rear , 225/40R/18 front)
I'm not really a "do-it-yourself" kind of guy. Generally speaking, I know **** about cars. I probably know slightly more about cars than your average soccer mom, so bear with me... and I want to know a few things -
1) Are there any special quirks/issues that need to be addressed when changing all 4 tires? I'm thinking of the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), in particular. I do not know how the TPMS system work/how it is physically assembled in a 2009 IS350.
2) This is my most important question - I want to take my car (and 4 tires) to a place that will install and do a tire balance/alignment as best as possible. Where do I go to get the highest quality service? Is this a job that even needs attention to detail, or is it relatively simple (and hard to screw up)?
I've ordered my tires through Lamb's tire and automotive on Research (183 & Braker). The only time I've dealt with them before is when I needed a flat tire patched up, and on that front they've been excellent.
Would you guys give the "go ahead" to have Lamb tire and automotive install my tires, as well as do an alignment service?
I've generally had terrible experiences in the past when dealing with chains - most notably, Jiffy Lube (they ruined my previous car). Lamb tire and automotive is a local chain, though, not a national one.
Next question - I just had F sport front and rear sway bars installed on my 09 IS350. Originally, my IS350 came with a stock (not sport) suspension.
For purposes of keeping alignment values within OEM specs, would it be OK for them to go by "stock suspension" specs, or does the fact that I have front and rear F sport sway bars change anything?
Are there any online PDFs/files that specify OEM ranges for toe-(in), etc.? As I understand it, the camber for IS350s is non-adjustable, so the only thing they should be messing with is toe-in, correct?
Lamb tire and automotive said they will need to "balance" my new wheels, and subsequently they will do a "free" alignment test. I don't want to be the victim of receiving unnecessary service or potentially-damaging service (as was the case with my experience with Jiffy Lube some years ago), so I'm asking you guys for advice.
I understand this probably sounds extremely ridiculous to most of you (Is this guy really asking for advice on changing tires?). I know, I know I have a lot to learn.
Thanks for the help. As of now, the plan is to have Lamb tire and automotive install my 4 tires next thursday, unless anybody has any objections/suggestions.

First of all, I would hope that other 2nd gen owners could provide assistance in regards to the TPMS, as that is not an issue with 1st gen. If you have had a good experience thus far I would continue with Lamb's, but in regards to some suspension additions, I would maybe take it to a shop with a little more knowledge in regards to aftermarket setups. I would personally see what Soulspeed would charge compared to what Lamb's would. The guys at Soulspeed are extremely knowledgeable about their craft. I do know that they have one of the best alignment machines in the state. Check out their website too at www.soulspeed.com. Anyone else feel free to chime in and help carLx out!!!
