Yeah but aftermarket parts are plentiful for the IS300. Being the car has been around for a few years, parts aren't as expensive as there are tons of preowned parts to be had. Still alot of bling with an IS300.
I remember those days of the IS when nothing much was out there except for PLP Supercharger, now they are turboing them every day!
hey david, i messaged the guy on TRS with no reply. could you tell me what he or any other service tech you trust charge for a 90k service on a 99GS300 here in town? i got a quote of $946+tax at North Park

Dang i just saw your post. As far as repairs, i've got the hookup from a guy that works at North Park. He replaced my steering rack bushings and did a 4 wheel alignment for $180.00. If i had gone to Lexus, the price would have been well over $600.00 on labor...and that's a guesstimate.
The quote you got is about right as they are replacing the timing belt. If anything, PM me on TRS and i'll get you the guys number who works on my car. I told him i'd refer others to him.
I'd be down. I know a few other Lexus guys in Corpus Christi (where I'm at) that would probably drive up.
It would have to be in S.A. though. Austin is a bit further than I'm willing to go.
Also, people MUST attend if they say they are going to. I put together a meet last year in SA and lets just say that the turn out wasn't all that great (we still had a blast though). Even though the weather was total crap.
I'd say we have it at "The Quarry". Nice place, plenty of parking and nice food close by. Then we could have a cruise.
Again, I'm down, so long as we pick a good date and have a good turn out.
