TexasGS, I think trying to hold a meet every month is a great idea..

it's kinda hard to get people together in TX.
but I believe your on the right track, keep announcing and try to do this frequently and the end result should be good.

I flaked out last time, but I will try to make this one.

also, one of the bigger turn outs that I remember, was one that Armyofone put together. and I believe part of the success was on the stickies that were used on all forums 2 weeks prior to meet

 

Gato, how do I get the Mods to put the stickies on all the forums? I think that would be a great idea since not a lot of people even visit the Southwest forum.

 

There may be a way to do a search for forum members in TX or DFW, etc. and sent them PMs about it.

 

I pm'ed Dave last time and he got it handled for us.

I would be there but the NHRA nationals at the motorplex are that weekend. I'll try for the next one.

 

That's too bad you can't make it. We will be out there until at least dark so if you get back to town, try and stop by. I will try and keep these meets going every month.

Is everyone ready to meet up this weekend? I have not really checked the weather but if it raining lets just reschedule for next month. If it does not rain, I will see everyone out there. I will try and get there a bit early to help get people parked. Also, if anyone out there has a good camera please bring it. I am not sure I will be able to bring mine since I have misplaced my charger and I have a dead battery. Thanks and I will see everyone there.

Bryan, thanks for the map. My plan is to have us park on Festival Way. I imagine some of us will head out to get something to eat and dress should be casual (shirt/shorts/flip flops/etc) I just hope we don't get rained out
