May 13 sounds good to me. Lets get a list going. Once we get a bunch of OK's lets then think about a location.

Not to get off topic but I have used Davenport in the past and they are great. They are cheaper than the Lexus dealers and they are all Certified Lexus mechanics. They have a location in Plano and one in Dallas. Here is a link. http://www.davenportmotorco.com/default.asp

If you don't find anyone, I'm always available for hire. I just had to swap a starter into my IS400 yesterday. Pretty straight forward job. Purchasing the starter was the hardest part. www.bedellracing.com for examples of my work.

I'll subscribe to this thread, let me know when you guys meet up. I'd love to show my V8 swap off to the group and talk about engine mod paths for it.

JPI in Garland. The one before that was at River Legacy park in Arlington. It really does not matter to me where we have it. River Legacy was a cool spot so I vote for a park so we can BBQ and stuff. What do yall think? With a park you know the hot ladys will be walking by..............

Never been to River Legacy Park. Any place like that sounds good to me. I know some of us have kids and it may be cool to BBQ and allow the kids to run around and play. So a park with a playground would be cool. Not real sure I would be bringing the kids but it would make the meet open to more people. I have no problem supplying some of the BBQ fixin's. I can bring hotdog and/or hamburgers. I guess we would need a head count to determine exactly how many folks would be there and if they would be bringing kids, girlfriends, wifes, etc. We probably need to start a list. The 13th is only a couple of weeks away.

Brad. It appears you really know what you're doing when it comes to cars. Have you ever thought about doing the Daizen front bushing replacement? I know a bunch of us GS owners would like to get that done but it seems to be a pretty labor intensive process and people are getting quotes from shops of over $500 to have it done. I don't have a clue of the process to do it but it appears you need to have some good air tools and a strong press to press the bushing in. I don't want to get off the subject of the meet but was just wondering if that is something you might be able to do in your shop.

Bushings shouldn't be too hard. There's what? two upper control arm(a-arms), the lower arm pivot, and horizontally mounted bushing on each side of the GS? I have a 25 ton press here (the very same one Sewell lexus has ) The hardest part would be the tooling to properly press the bushings in. Happen to have a photo of these bushings?

*edit* Have tig welding equipment, a band saw, plasma cutter, mig welder and several other fabrication tools here. There's not much I can't do in house. I own a mill & lathe, but have it stored at a friend's shop.

I'm down for the 13th, just let me know when & where.
