Default my intro

i typically avoid these egregious introductions, but since i'm here more for learning than speaking and i want to have a post count greater than zero.
from an admittedly cursory examination, it doesn't appear that this is especially popular around here - i guess you guys do like lexuses do and hit the ground running.

to be honest, i am a subaru guy at heart. i have been since 2006 and will remain that way [even if irrationally] until the end of forever.
but that doesn't get in the way for my love for lexus.

i first became interested when i encountered going the other way, what i later discovered was an IS F on one of the twisties in my area. i'd never heard an engine moan quite like that, and i'll never forget it. upon hearing that tone, i immediately searched for a place to turn around, and figure out what it was i had just witnessed. as my foot drew closer to the floor i wondered about what kind of work was done to the Lexus and simultaneously realized that there was no chance i was catching it, so i abandoned my mid-day rally and drove straight home.
i frantically googled to figure out what it was, and it wasn't long before the right combination of "lexus" and "sports" and "loud" turned up a result containing what might still possibly be the most beautiful vehicle i've ever seen.

i'm not sure what about the motor generates such distinct sound, but that particular V8 exhaust note [only replicated by IS V6 as far as i've researched] left a permanent mark on my soul.
i will be forever burdened and blessed by the beauty of that machine.

so thanks for having me along!

edit: i got wrapped up in my IS-F poem, but i meant to apologize in advance to the mods if this is an inappropriate place for this. as i said earlier in this post, i didn't find anyplace better, though it occurred to me prior to writing the post that it might be best placed in the clubhouse.

that is awesome! lexus definitely spends a good amount of money on exhaust tones lol. just research how much they spent creating the tone for the LFA. its redonkulous!
