I have received notification that the Import Alliance Atlanta Meet will be happening on April 17th 2011. This will be the third consecutive year, and it has grown exponentially from a few hundred cars the first year (not too shabby), to reportedly well over a thousand cars the second year. It will again be held in downtown Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Convention Center's underground parking facility which has multiple levels of parking on each side. Cost is $5 per vehicle and will again offer many vendors and lots of automotive eye candy. I would like to invite my fellow CL members to come out and represent the Lexus community. I have gone the past 2 years, and there have been a smattering of Lexus there, but I'd like to get organized and roll in together, and possibly have an all weekend event for the out of towners, but I want to get an idea of how many would commit to attending. Also, I will start another thread, but I'd like to organize another Lexfest event to tie in with this for 2012 (not enough time to organize for 2011). Those that attend this year will be able to preview and maybe get some interest for a Lexfest 2012. So, I'd like to get a roll call going to see who will be attending. I will try and get with the Import Alliance organizers to see what kind of hotel deals are being arranged.

I have talked with Dan, the owner of Zen Motors and fellow Lexus owner and enthusiast, and he has graciously opened his business for us to meet and greet one another and chill amongst our fellow CL and Lexus enthusiasts and check out each other's rides.
Dan will have the grill fired up for burgers and dogs. All we ask is that you paypal $5 per person to Dan at DKANG76@hotmail.com (do it as a gift so there's no fees) so he knows how much food to get
Directions: Take I-85 north to exit 109 (Old Peachtree)
Take a left off the exit. Make a right on Satellite Blvd, then a Left on McGinnis Ferry Rd, then a left on Burnette Rd (there's a sports complex and church as a landmark for Burnette)
Make a Left on Burnette Park Drive, follow to the end of the street , and Zen Motors is on the right side of the cul de sac.
At 6pm, we will roll out from Zen to Tilted Kilt for dinner.

Cool Mike, just do what you do best and spread the word. I'm gonna get in touch with Redpaste at Tilted Kilt, and Joe at Henessey Lexus to see if we can arrange for some events/meets during that weekend, but I wanna see what kind of response we get first.

I don't think that my car will be up to the show status as some of the Lexus listed but i will come show some support.
It should be running by the end of this month/early February. Still have a lot more cosmetic stuff & parts to buy before it will be remotely ready.

i have been to most of these events... def. lacking on the lexus vehicles, but then again, it is a younger minded group. lots of hondas and acuras, but thats everywhere you go. it is a fun time... no worries about sun burns or rain.

i would love to come and support the lexus scene. my car is no show car but its no stocker either...hell maybe ill have the turbo together by then.
