Now that I think about it, Hollywood Beach would ideally be a better spot for a meet than the Keys, especially for those of us coming from up north like Orlando. As long as there are plenty of activities to keep us busy (e.g. beaching, volleyball, car washing, maybe even hit up the Hard Rock Casino), I'm there (heck I'll even think about staying at a hotel down there)

I am cool with the BMW group here in Atlanta, if u make it a joint event, I would help promote with them, maybe caravan some Atliens down there.
To give u an idea, our hotel for NOPI runs about $80 a night, I think the dragon hotel runs anywhere from $55-90 a night.
Just make it memorable for those that drive down a long way, I don't want to come all the way down and eat at Fridays (I can do that here) and go to the mall (I can do that here also).
How far is this beach from Atlanta?

If we are going with Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Beach, can we get a couple hotel suggestions? This would especially help those of us who travel 4-5 hrs from Orlando, and don't feel the need to drive back the same day.

you should look on the normal web sites IE priceline, expedia they offer great prices. and its only like a 2.5 hour drive
Have any of you guys driven down Ocean Drive on the weekend? It's difficult with one car but keeping a large group together and then trying to park in them all in the same space will be nearly impossible, dinner could easily turn into late night drive through after navigating overcrowded Miami Beach, you guys might want to scrap that part.
