I'm keeping my eyes on it as well. If it really becomes icy we don't want anyone risking injury or damage.
If it's just rain, that's OK w/ me.

Count me in on the dyno. Assuming there is no ice on the roads in my area in the AM, I'll be there. I live in the Piedmont Triad and the forecase is iffy for "Wintry Mix". Thanks for coordinating this!

Well we are back! It was a great turnout by us! We met at the pre-meeting spot and greeted one another and chatted and then cruised in at 10pm to the spot. We were on time and pretty much the first ones there and the rain held up until about 11ish and from then on, it rained on and off. There were many VWs there, a great turnout by them, as well as Audis and other marques, including 2 Supras. There was a van selling food, Girl Scouts selling cookies, a tint and a wheel vendor. Considering the weather, again great turnout. The parking lot was large and it was secluded, which was pretty cool.
The remote control car jumping off the ramp was
It was a little chilly too :rolleyewistle:
Everyone was really cool and it was great to see old friends and meet new ones and check everyones ride out. Those tents came in handy!!!
I don't know everyone's names but here are the cars
Black 3GS 430
Navy 3GS 430
Black 2GS 400 S/C
Silver 2GS 300
Silver 2GS 430
Gunmental 2GS 300 SportDesign
White 1GS 300
Silver 1IS 300
Blue 1IS 300
Custom Blue 1IS 300
Gold 2LS 400
GoldPearl 1RX 300
Green Toyota Camry S/C
Gunmetal Porsche 996 911
Black Turbo BMW M coupe
Silver E46 BMW M3
Yellow Chevy Corvette C5
We then cruised out the parking lot (and turned everyone's heads!) and most of us ate at Midtown Sundries, a nice sports bar where Dave and Cliff recommended the chicken finger basket, which almost all of us got.
It was great chatting and some of us are going out tonight together!!
Thanks to VWVortex for inviting us and thanks to DaveGS4 for organizing us.

Haven't had time to sort through to pick out the best ones yet, but here are some pics.
Thanks again to everyone that made it out despite the suboptimal weather conditions
Krista's pics are at the beginning, they came out a little too dark and I haven't fixed 'em yet. Keep flipping through the pages.

Figures the weather would be decent. Since we decided not to go, we stayed out real late last night and when I woke this afternoon, the weather wasn't too bad here, so sorry I missed the event. Glad it was a good turn out for those that went.

Bummer that I missed the event as well....
Saw the rain / sleet / snow report so we took advantage of the weather and the off day on Friday and headed up to WV for some snowboarding... grumbling that I missed the meet, but happy that there were 2 days of fresh pow in the morning.
