Does anybody here on CL live near Natchitoches, Lousiana? My mom is thinking about buying a house there and renting it out for a while. Her friend told her houses are cheap down there. I was wondering what that area is like and if any houses down there are worthy of investment. Thanks.

I guess property in Natchitoches is cheap... its the middle of nowhere central Louisiana.
I live in New Orleans which is about 5 hours from Natchitoches, I have never been though.
