I am interested in purchsing a 2001 IS300 from a guy who lives in Georgia I think. His area code is 678 and I was wondering if I could rely on a member from CL who might be avail. to meet with this cat and take a look at his car to give me an unbiased opinion on his rig, and its condition.

I know it is asking alot, but, who better than to take a look than a trusted member from our group. I have left a message with this seller and hope to further discuss this possibility later today. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please give me your thoughts-

I wasn't sure if that request was al little to forward as I really haven't met any members on CL personally. Although, I have been counseled (sp?) by quite a few on many different subjects. I have also had the pleasure of buying items from a few members on occasion such as my HRE's. So I am hoping to reach out to the group, in the hope someone would lend a hand. As I would if I could in the event someone needed info or assistance from a west coast member like myself. As to SELOC, nobody in that group would even know of me or my history here on CL. I would think that could be a hinderance, no??

Thanks for the advice...BTW would you know of anybody in that region that may be able to help a dude out?

yeah I know loads of people and you probably are familiar with them too... 1sicklex, bitkahua, etc.

HOWEVER, it doesn't matter that folks don't know your history on CL over there... just pop over join and post. Tell them I referred you over there if you want . I feel certain somebody will help you out. I'm recommending SELOC because it's really the central gathering spot for Atlanta-based lexus enthusiasts including IS300 owners (who are ideal to help you out if they're willing).

They may see this post here, but it will certainly get more focused local attention there.
