It takes 30 days and 30 productive posts to get promoted to full access but I think you may get limited pm before that

All new accounts, or accounts with low activity, don't have immediate access to the PM system because it's a growing trend for Scammers to use the system to scam members. Therefore, new accounts, or accounts with low activity, must become "established". We don't really want to provide the specifics because it can be used to get around the protections put in place for the community. Using the site for its intended purpose will quickly gain proper permissions to include PM access.

So our best suggestion is to use the site and you will quickly gain the additional permissions.

I asked him if he was interested in connecting with you for the sale, and asked him to provide me with an alternative method to convey to you (email, phone) to contact him if he was.

He hasn't been on in a few days so may not me immediate.


Edit - also note he never formally posted it for sale, there isn't a thread in the classifieds - just a discussion about price.
