I went into edit options twice and changed email notifications to no email notifications, hit the "save changes" both times, and still get email notifications. So what am I missing?

 

[Default Thread Subscription Mode When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

When I get to this part of the "subscriptions" in the "edit options" I entered NO EMAIL NOTIFICATION as my default because I do not want my email blown up with every reply to threads I am subscribed to. But it doesn't work. I still get the emails every time someone replies to threads I am subscribed to. I would appreciate it if admin would tell me what to do.

Thanks Dave for the help-and, by the way, thanks also to the first responder who apparently deleted his post for some reason.
Yeah I basically went in there and shut off everything including subscriptions and I am still getting email notifications. I will look at everything you linked and see what I am missing.
