Default How do you embed a YouTube video in a forum message?

I've been trying to figure out how to embed a YouTube video in a message, like in <a href="https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-4th-gen-2016-present/803482-16-rx-interesting-discoveries-thread-good-or-bad-2.html#post9276727">this post</a>, but can't find the magic combination of characters to use. Putting the URL inside URL tags just displays the raw URL. I do have the "Automatically embed media" check box checked. Does anyone know how to do this?

Just paste the URL without any formatting (no tags)

Found the post, went to youtube and looked for the "share" link right below your video and just pasted it into the one above, seems to work fine.

I put an extra space after the // below to show you what I pasted

First link
https:// youtu.be/gC_9AhFskpw

second link
https:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC_9AhFskpw

Both seem to work fine. I undeleted your post and edited / pasted in and it works just fine

I think the confusion is that you HAVE to submit the reply with the video link in order for the CL software to process the link, not just click preview post. I have posted many Youtube links here and rarely have an issue.
