Also, the thread and post titles appear even smaller than the message text.
Same observation here: I have a 1200x1600 resolution laptop, and the fixed-sized(-in-stone, apparently) fonts come through as ~4pt type. From what little I've seen, the only proportional font anywhere is on some avatars.

Most of the fonts are either 10px, 11px or 12px, the norm being 11or 12. They are coded in a style sheet. I'll try playing with them a bit, maybe change to pt instead of px, well see. I run 1600x1200 on a 21" monitor and they are about right IMHO but then that's just me

FYI, the new layout also causes Netscape Navigator 4.77 to crash and burn. The menus are broken, some strange layout areas, etc. Yeah, it's an old version of navigator, maybe not critical to fix, just using it to check fonts on another machine.

good luck...

I posted this on another thread, but thought I'd add it here too. I think CL should list more profile info on the Author column of the threads. We used to be able to tell what city we were from and what car we drove. Just an effort to customize/personalize each user further.

I also think the "State" column in the profile editor should be an open text field, not a drop down field. That way our members from Austrailia, Japan, Canada, and Europe can collaborate much easier and don't feel alienated because they are simply catergorized as "International".

Other than that, the site works great for me. BTW, I have a ton of smilies not already on CL. If you want to add them to the database just ask...

Angry Dang! Time for reading glasses!

Congrats on the upgrade, but I gotta agree with strongsail and others on the small fonts.

9kboi - you are a lucky fellow to have a 21" monitor running 1600x1200, but remember most of us are not as fortunate- the current fonts that have been chosen are just too small for my 14" monitor, for example.

I wish those that like the font larger could change it in the "Tools" section, and I'm suprised vBulletin Version 2.2.9 does not allow each user to select their own font size - that's a real personal preference.

Overall, it's a definite improvement. Glad to see the picture gallery up and running again. The Menu font looks a bit blurry, I don't know if it's the font color and background or the font itself.

It is possible for the admins to set the font larger in this version of vBulletin - look at this page from the MB forum, it's the same version, and readable!

I cannot view any of the threads I have subscribed to in my control panel area.

Is this a bug that can be fixed?

When performing a simple search (I used the term "WAAG"), the results
come up in, what appears to be, random order.

I can't see a pattern. Before the upgrade the results were chronological,
starting with the most recent thread. Can we return to this?

Thanks

On the old site I was able to subscribe to a thread and view which one's I was subscribed to under my user options. I don't see any such thing here. It is sorta a useful thing cause not all places let you check your aol mail or any personal mail now a day's so to be able to log in and see all the threads you subscribed to recieve updates on via the site itself is a very useful tool. Otherwise the site just keeps getting better and better, great work guys.

Nope that does not do it once you have read the subscribed threads. Once you have read them they are gone and you cannot go and click on anything to view all subscribed threads. There is a bug here, no question about that.
