so as a newbie tomorrow I will meet the minimum 30 days membership requirement that will get me full forum access, but I still need to make 12 more posts to meet the 30 minimum posts requirement.

Am in a quandary - options as i see them now are:

1. grovel to a moderator in the hope that I've done enough to prove I'm not here to spam or otherwise abuse forum rules or..................

2. quickly do 12 posts to meet the minimum number, but then risk being seen as a spammer (see above) or.......................

3. beg other members to post on this thread about their or my SC 430 enough that I can make 12 replies and get to 30!

I just searched the forum for stuff that I was interested in and had questions about.. then I responded to those threads.

 

There is nothing bad that happens if you don't meet the 30 day 30 post requirement... Just contribute organically and when you reach 30 posts you will get 'promoted' to the group with less restrictions. You just have to meet both minimum criteria to get that promotion, doesn't have to happen within the 30 day window.

I'm kind of in the same boat. Just got an SC430 last month and joined the forum. Great site, lots of valuable information. I'm trying to get up to 30 posts as well. But not wanting to just grab a thread and post for the sake of posting. Me too. Ditto. Etc. etc.
