One thing to note under 'photos' from the main menu we have both a new photo hosting site for CL under 'photos' and an archive of our old forum gallery software under 'galleries'

The new CL Live feature is pretty cool!

I was like wtf what happened to the site it got a makeover, so far it's very nice

I like the live feature. It's "kinda" like the old VB software where mods could watch online users, but is post based instead.

after my intense 75 min review :) I really like what I see so far :cool:

Live feed is like new posts with auto refresh which I like and the home page and new header are nice too.

Best part? I've come across no glitches thus far, well done ! :thumbup:

RX 450h flanked by 08 IS F...banners all over (gotta tweak my plugins)...was expecting more after no major updates in years, close to a decade. Was expecting a lot more.

I do like the font used and the darker navy, looks classy.

FYI The dropdown menu only shows ES 350 and the LFA forum shows LFA and LFA roadster forums? Also some say first gen/2nd gen etc, then others show the model numbers.

So far, I just don't like the banner. The Ad cover ups everything. I think if the whole banner is in black color would look nicer, smaller CL logo, with one Lexus car on the left.

If you guys want photoshopped examples, I would love to.

Mike, specifically what else were you expecting? I suspect there's a lot under the covers you probably haven't realized in the few minutes you've had to use the updates before posting.

What's here now?

• Updated header design (which you participated in the design of) and updated logo Stretch your screen and you'll see other models. Note that we reduced the 'tall' forum header many had complained about before that took up so much real estate. New menus also (which need some tweaking as you mention, have already reported some other issues beyond those you mention, thanks)
• Brand new front page and content management tool behind the scenes. Improved linkage to articles from the forum discussions (which will improve as we add new content)
• Brand new photo gallery software for member image hosting, better integrated into the garage feature. Maintained the old photo gallery so we don't break links to member's photo posts though.
• Updated and much more visible search tool with new options for image-only search
• Much more visible registration link on the front page to get new members to join instead of browse
• Better integrated social media linkouts including facebook, twitter, reddit, stumbldupon, etc,
• New features like the CL Live view, etc

Oh and CL's last major upgrade was in 2007, not a decade ago. How time flies :)

What's still coming?
Once this update settles in, members can expect to see a bunch of new moderators to help organize and guide conversation on the forums, fresher / more front page content, a Club Lexus newsletter, new emoticons (I haven't forgotten Rash, they're just a PITA to upload) and a few other surprises :)
