WTF is this (BLEEP)
This is not as bad as it sounds. Although the compromise was months ago, if you haven't noticed anything yet, I doubt anything will happen. But, I understand it's the fact that you know something happened which makes you nervous. Changing your card # is the surefire way to fix the issue and all companies will gladly do it for you free of charge.
Again, we're truly sorry for all of our customers who have received this letter. But please do take advantage of the free year of credit monitoring service!
It's up to you. But here is my opinion as to what you can do. I'm sure you closely monitor your account online. All reputable credit card companies do not hold you liable for any fraudulent charges if you notify them when it happens.

I am a Systems Admin/Security Analyst and this is just another incident of a website that does e-commerce that was compromised. For those who participated in the group buy a few months ago, let us not pin the blame solely on LuxuryMods. LM uses another company to handle their website and e-commerce. From what I gathered both here on CL and on several other websites, I would direct my frustrations towards Network Solutions which is the website hosting company that LM uses. This may have been a hack from the outside or this could have been done from an employee working inside for Network Solutions. We just don't know yet. Regardless, this was a criminal act which should have been reported MUCH earlier to the companies that Network Solutions provides for including LM. I'm hoping that LM is being truthful when they say that they were recently notified as well. With that being said, LM should have at least notified all of their customers FIRST of the data breach. The folks here did not do business with Network Solutions, they did business with LM so word of this breach should have come from LM.
I totally disagree with the comment said by LM about it being "not so bad". You do not know that for a fact nor how many people's identities may have been compromised. In the minutes after customer private data is breached, it is quickly sold & traded on the internet. I know if I were part of that group buy, I would be contacting the Network Solutions. I say this from experience. Someone at a old job of mine used my SSN to open an account and write bad checks. I never knew about it until I tried to open a new account at another bank. I really, really hope that all of you who went on the LM website to have your orders processed don't have any issues with your personal identities.Good luck to all involved.

This is not as bad as you think it is. However, out of caution, they are offering 1 free year of credit monitoring.
