May I suggest Area Specific Classifieds? Like southern California for sale, northern cali for sale, etc.

It'll be good for people who don't want to ship, or people who actually want to see what they're buying, people who are selling high dollar items and want to build up there rep for being a good seller/buyer.

 

I'm sorry but we aren't going to do that.

Moderating the classifieds is one of the largest time consuming duties our team has, and it's a lot of work. While it isn't perfect, we have one of the safer internet-forum based classifieds for our members and it's heavily reviewed by our moderator team (thank them sometimes please).

The regional forums simply do not get enough attention and will get spammed with all sorts of crap that members don't see today (you'd be amazed at the volume) and our safeguards would not be enforced.

I suggest if you want to sell something local only, you put it clearly in the title of the item you are selling. You also have local Craigslist to use.
