Guys check amtrak, I know they have a service that runs from Virginia to North FL., that could cut a lot of your driving hours if you catch it in Virginia to Orlando and drive up from Orlando. I wondor if they have a sevice that stops in the ATL.
you need glasses to do that...... but u have a better chance spotting high patrols tho...
LOL... that is a drive .......DAVE next year better be like new york or so
Its going alternate every year from South East to North East so that it can be fair to every one on the East Coast, What we eventually want is for it to get so big that people won't care how far it is they will want to make it an annual vacation to get to this meet as it grows every year. I think this year will be much bigger than last and hopefully every year it will get larger and larger. Thats why we wanted it to be seperate from Nopi. So that it will stand on its own legs why we get it moving in the right direction.
I think an 11 hour caravan from Maryland would be fun. We'll meet up with all the Northeasters here in Maryland, and then we'll caravan south into Atlanta. Unfortunately, making that drive in one day is tuffff (especially for anyone north of Maryland)....so we'll probably need a hotel stop along the way, like in Charlotte. That's about the 8 hour point. Raleigh-Durham is like the 5-hour point.
That's my suggestion to the NELOC crew as well. The trip to Greensboro can be done in 7.5 hours, I usually make it down there in 8 going by myself and somehow (don't really know the reason yet), we tend to travel a lil bit faster when we caravan up here. We can get to Greensboro, stay in the Microtel ($49 a night) and head out early the next morning catching that 70 mph speed limit and hit Atl in 4 hours or less.

And pick me up in Charlotte on the way down
J/K I'll prob head down Thursday evening to get everything set up.
I can probably get you guys a $69 rate at the hotel in Charlotte where I've got a block of rooms reserved for my wedding a couple of weeks later if the Microtel doesn't work out.
LOL, Dave, I used to play ball for NC A&T back in 94 and 95 so if we stay in Greensboro, I can guarantee some of the NY guys some of that country 'flavor' I'm sure they've never experienced.
i drive down to my sisters in Greenville South Carolina and it takes bout 9-10 hours and shes an hour and a half away from ATL come on NELOC we are better then this haha
im down either way, its gonna be a crazy caravan though
