At this point, no for a couple of reasons.

1) protection against PM spambots. If we have a big open bucket of space, its possible for PM to be used as a sales tool.

2) amount of space... a small increase for all regular members will be a big kb increase overall (34,000+members)

In the future, we might bring back different levels of membership for donations to CL; we're considering increasing the PM space for folks that donate.

An option for you now is to download your old PMs, and delete or download your 'sent' pms which also take up space. Look in the bottom right of the PM page and you'll see "Download all Private Messages as :
XML | CSV | Text "

You can pull these down and view them in excel or other tools using the CSV and text options. Save all you want that way - offline.
