not a new problem but seems more frequent recently. i try to go to 'last page' or use the '>' control and it won't take me to the last page.
i;ve tried logging out, changing posts per page, but nothing works.

This is a known bug, however, it is intermittent and requires very specific conditions. It generally involves threads that have had moderated content, multiple page long, and the member's posts per page is specific. It changes when the thread is active with new posts.
Changing the posts per page does, temporarily, fix the issue because it's a pagination issue.
changing posts per page had made no difference (i changed from something to 5 i think). anyway, i just changed to 30 posts per page and also to 'default' and i think it's now showing the last page.
yes, i imagine it's a rounding error in a calculation.
on the above link at 5 posts per page it's showing a page 53 is there, but clicking '>' when on 52 takes you back to 52 with 53 still showing in the page number boxes which, from looking at it now, may be totally a phantom as it appears page 52 may actually have the last available post..
so i switched to 10 posts per page and now i can see the last page and it doesn't seem to be just a calc issue with no actual additional posts because now i see a post i couldn't see before.
so i switched to 30 posts per page and i go to last page (10) with no issue, and i see there were in fact no additional posts so it was showing me that page 30 when there weren't any posts there.
changing posts per page, logging out/in, makes no difference.
This doesn't make sense. The bug involves pagination and, due to moderated content that is shown to Staff but not to others (non-public), it doesn't always set up correctly. So changing posts per page has always been a workaround. It is not a permanent workaround as, eventually, that specific setting and the pagination issue can land on the error.
thanks. of course now i can't reproduce it so although i definitely logged out an CL said cookies clear, etc., and then i logged back in, perhaps safari still showed a cached version of the page with the bug, i don't know.

It is a known issue and a long-term bug. One reason why is because it's very difficult to reproduce and it changes. One reply can resolve the issue. There are some known conditions that tend to be involved in making the thread have the issue, at one time or another. The team has looked into the bug and thought it was fixed more than once, but it continues to be an intermittent issue that is difficult to reproduce and pinpoint the exact failure.
this time switching to 40 posts per page THEN logging out/in, seems to have fixed it for now. see max page no 77 which is odd because max page with 20 posts per page that didn't work is 154 so sounds like that *should* be right and work. oh well...
