Parts from Dubai
I have a squeaky clock spring in my GS350 that I want to replace. For some reason, most of the "new" ones available on ebay are coming from Dubai. Looking for opinions on why this might be the case and if there's any reason why getting one from one of these sellers is a bad idea.
Lexus dealers have the part from $700 to $900 and the ebay ones are going for $200 to $300 so that's why I'm leaning that way.

I see a bunch of genuine Lexus parts listed on EBay that are coming from the US for less than $100 shipped.

Well, all of those appear to be for 2009 years. My particular part is 84307-31030 and has to match the features my wheel has. I got the part number from my Lexus dealer so I'm confident it's correct. I had seen cheaper clock springs domestically but they were dubious sellers where they try to make you think they are new OEM but are often remanufactured equivalents.

I wasn't asking for help in finding a clock spring necessarily, though I already listed the part number earlier and it's a 2013. I was mainly wondering if anyone had experience buying parts from Dubai.

Gotcha, I was just trying to help you out. I personally have not purchased any parts from Dubai suppliers, and considering the safety issues associated with that part, being part of the airbag system, I would be purchasing a genuine Lexus part from a trusted reliable supplier. That's just my personal opinion though. Hopefully someone can provide you with more info on the Dubai parts sellers.
