2014 GS vs 2019 es 350?
Has anyone driven a 2014 GS with luxury package vs a 2019 es 350 ultra luxury?
I can get a good deal on the GS. I'm wondering if the GS with AVS rides smoother and is just as quiet as the 2019 es?

Test drive both. Other opinions will be subjective with personal taste preferences.

The only difference in options is:
No heads up display
No Heated steering wheel
No panoramic sunroof
No lane keep assist
No radar cruise
No led headlights
Hardly a deal breaker. I'll test drive the AVS suspension GS and see if it rides better than the ultra luxury ES. Then compare NVH on the highway.

It often seems like you are committed to creating a past time for yourself of comparing every combination of cars that you can, regardless of whether it makes much sense to be making the comparisons that you are making or whether you might actually be a serious potential buyer.

Let me explain my intentions. I am in the market for a used car 2012+. It has to be v6 and a Toyota/Lexus. Comfort and ride quality are my #1 concern.
I have driven the 2019 ES 350 ultra luxury and like the car a lot but am not willing to pay that much for a car and would wait for depreciation in 3-5 years.
I have not driven a GS 350 with luxury package with AVS recently to compare.
Tech is a waste of time for me in a car. It's planned obsolescence. The es will look dated by then anyway.
My only options are a Avalon, Gs350 ultra luxury, or GS 350 luxury.

I was just stating how I bought the lowest mileage 2012 5th gen es with Ultra Luxury and ml system for $18k. And I am surprised people are paying over 23k for 2013+ non ultra luxury and no ML system with pretty high mileage.
The 6th gen has the same engine and transmission as the 5th gen.

After reading, on various CL model forums, the numerous threads that you have started asking for comparisons between various car models, I cannot help but be bewildered. The comparisons that you are trying to make are often between cars of different generations, very different sizes, different ride characteristics, different handling qualities, very different amounts and different generations of technology, different price levels, etc.
It often seems like you are committed to creating a past time for yourself of comparing every combination of cars that you can, regardless of whether it makes much sense to be making the comparisons that you are making or whether you might actually be a serious potential buyer.

So tech is a waste of time, car will look dated too soon and you're not willing to pay so much?? You need to check out some used car forums. Good luck.

I own 2015 4GS Luxury, and I have driven all new 7ES, and like you, ride comfort and quietness are my number 1 concern.
I can tell you that my 4GS Luxury has automatic electronic 8-stage variable valve dampers, but the ride is considerably stiffer and considerably bouncier than all new 7ES.
The 4GS springs are very firm to limit weight transfer to the outside wheels to maximize grip.
The 4GS valving is very small and firm, resulting in a high frequency of vertical oscillation - which is much more tiring than 7ES's floaty ride.
7ES is not only softer and more compliant to bumps, but 7ES has large valve openings in its dampers, to allow oil to easily pass through, giving a low frequency of vertical oscillation ride which is interpreted as being floaty.
The 2014 4GS will also have much more noise through the firewall, road noise from under the floor, and wind noise.
For space, comfort and quietness - go 7ES.
The areas the 7ES loses to the 2014GS include:
1) Long front overhang - if you dislike the look of long front overhangs - stay away from 7ES.
2) Trunk space - new 7ES has lowered roof line, hence lowered waist line, and also pinched tail styling for a noticeably shallower and smaller trunk.
3) Sharper steering, and more terminal grip - the RWD 4GS trounces the FWD 7ES for handling.
However, 7ES trounces the 4GS for NVH...

No kidding. Especially the control. The track pad, while not great, is far better than the old joystick.

I own a '19 ES 350 UL and had a '16 GS350 Luxury.
I agree 100% with peteharvey.

I had a 13 GS350 Luxury and have driven the new ES. The GS is more solid feeling, better handling but the 7ES is softer, quieter.
The GS is a great car, its one of my favorite Lexus vehicles I've had actually but its a different type of car.
