Canada and Northern USA - Winter Gas Consumption
Good morning ES drivers! Over the last few months, with the extreme cold weather that we've seen in the Southern Ontario, I've watched my mpg plummet to 22 mpg ~ 10.7 l/100km. In the fall it was in 27 mpg ~ 8.7 l/100km range. What are you all seeing in the cold regions of Canada and USA?
Cheers and safe driving

I just do local driving with my ES as I have a work truck but I’m averaging 19. I’m in North Jerseyband this season brings us the infamous winter blend which gets much worse mileage all in itself. In the winter I always turn it on go inside and come back out ten minutes later sometimes get sidetracked and come back out 20-25 minutes later all that combined with the colder temperature of the engine plus if you actually drive in snow it all leads too F150 adjace gas mileage. Then again if you were driving an F150 you’d be getting hummer adjace MPG.

i fill up premium and currently get 26 mpg vs 29 4 month ago 90% highway driving.
Not sure how much of this is winter blend, warming up, snow and slush or snow/accident stop and go.

OK, seems that this is a "normal" drop in the mpg... Last winter was much milder in this area and the lowest mpg I got was 25, i.e. 9.4 l/100km...
Now it will be the waiting game and thinking of spring LOL

I just did a run last week to visit one of my kids. It's an 85 mile drive and I started with 1/2 a tank of gas. Tank avg. at that time was 24 mpg. This drive is a combination of 40 mph , 60 mph and 70 mph and when I got there my tank mileage was 25.5 mpg. On the way home I filled up and 0 out the mpg. So straight driving from the gas station to a 70 mph highway followed by a 60 mph highway at the end of an hour I checked and it read 29 mpg. A 1/2 hour later when I go home it was at 25 mpg. Now driving around locally for a few days and it's down to 23 mpg. Typical winter mileage.
