02+ Aristo Swap w/ A340e 4AT Questions
Hi guys! Those of you who have done an Aristo swap using the TT 4spd auto into a 02-05 IS/GS300, how did you wire the ECU input pins for A/T Indicator P and R gear?
On the 01/Aristo harness, P and R pins are on the body plugs going into the ECU. On the 02+ harness, they are on the engine plugs going into the ECU. Not sure why Toyota would make a switch like this, but using Aristo everything (ecu, tranny, harness) means I need to get the P and R signal from somewhere. Technically both wires should lead to the Shift Indicator right on the tranny itself, but I haven't gone as far as tracing the wires on the '01 body harness to see exactly where it leads to.
