Man... if you consider that a beater, you haven't been around many beaters.

It needs some TLC for sure but every GS I see for sale that isn't a stance nation show car does. Fix the headlights and give it a good detail and you're golden as far as the exterior goes.

I would look at junkyards and online for a totaled 2GS with saddle interior and swap it out. Every once in a while - not very often - you may see a set of OEM seats on eBay. Saddle is rare most of the time you see more popular colors like grey or black (I did a quick search and found a grey set on eBay for $599). Finding a saddle interior in good condition is going to take patience.

I purchased a 2003 sport design gs300 with saddle on copart.com coming in from Chicago. That’s going to be the donor car for interior and other pieces I might need. Overall I paid 2k for the donor gs shipped to California. Sounds like a lot but only has 139 k miles on engine/trans. Saddle interior I couldn’t find anywhere.

Nice, does Copart.com require anything special to bid on cars? I saw a couple 2GS there in pretty good condition (easy fixes).

just get them reupholstered doesn't cost much. Vinyl of course is cheaper, but even leather for 3 seat bottoms isn't much. good find
