Default 2013 es350 front wheel hopping

2013 ES350 front wheel hopping, typically between 30-50 mph. It feels like if you hit a very small bump, then tire begins to hop, loss of traction. I have felt it in a straight or a turn. I believe I feel it more on drivers side then passenger. Replaced front struts, tires fairly new Pirelli p7s. The problem is intermittent which does not help. Any suggestions?

Have you had all of the front suspension components checked for bent or loose parts, especially since you replaced the front struts?? Tire(s) may have a separated belt, or need balancing again.

I replaced the the front struts thinking this was the reason, not so. 4 wheel alignment was done at this time. The tires are new as of August. I will have the tires and suspension inspected again. Thank you for your feedback!

If you had a scanner that could monitor wheel speed sensor, you can see if any of the sensors intermittent act up. Of course check for any speed sensor wiring and connector, may be rubbing through or on something or corrosion in the connector. Can cause a wheel to pulse because it thinks the wheel is locking up.

I'd check the tires and rims first.
More likely a bent rim than a strut

Did the problem exist before the new tires?
Rotate the tires and see if the problem remains. No change would mean the problem is not tire/wheel related.

Interesting, l noticed it a little intermittently with the Michelins, however with the Pirellis it is more intermittently prevalent. tires have been rotated. Is it possible the rubber compound on the Michelin Primacys promotes better traction then the Pirelli P7s? Just so weird sometimes I will go for days without it occurring, after which it will occur regularly, then stop again. Master Tech at Lexus mentioned potentially a bad axle..Thank you and others for the feedback?

MBK9999, did you find what the cause of the occasional wheel hopping was? The same issue started happening on my 2013 ES350 a few months ago and was about to look into replacing the front struts until I saw your post. Tires are a year old and have already had them re-balanced and rotated recently, which didn't fix the issue.

Welcome to CL.
It is usually a waste of time to follow up on an 8-year-old thread and ask for information, especially when that person has only made 5 posts and the last one was in 2018.
They certainly are not active on this forum, and probably no longer own the car. They will not see or respond to your request.
You may want to have your front suspension inspected and possibly replace the front struts.
