Just had a call from a dealer in the Clearwater area of FL with these #'s for a LS 430. Here is the PH # 7275691811.

They've come down a bit since I first saw it advertised weeks ago. Actually, if memory serves, it might have been at another dealer then. It has a somewhat odd history in being owned by the original purchaser until recently, then went through a very brief second ownership.

I think I have also been looking at this car for a while as well. I have been throwing it around. For me right now the price is too high. I think it also has not sold because of the color...won't appeal to as many buyers as sa black, white, silver would. Also, it is a totally base car which again some prefer but I think more want at least navigation...even if it is old you still get the backup camera.

I have one 430 with 147k miles and one 430 with 22k miles. The 147k mile car isn't bad, but the 22k mile car is better in just about every way. Even still smells new. I paid $13,900 for it, and it was worth every penny over a higher mileage car that saves a few thousands bucks.

What is the way to estimate the factor age combined with necessary service when it comes to observing potential cracks in the rubber components (starting from suspension and ending with crucial gaskets somewhere within the transmission/powertrain/engine), hardened grease in ball joints/bearings, affect of humidity/heat on components that are idling, Ultraviolet radiation on the paint day after day without proper car wash/wax, Impact on electronics, etc.?

Is it the maroon one ?
I looked into it, if its the same one, then It has broken sunroof motor, leaking water pump and rear brakes at at 2 or 4 mm. The fronts were gone and pads and rotors replace.
May have been at the lexus dealer first, now on sale at the caddy dealer?

I just picked up my 2004 Crystal White Ultra/Cappuccino interior with 179k miles for $8,000 cash. That is overpriced for a base model. Just wait for the right one to pop up. GL!

Very nice car. However, unless there is a buyer who loves the color and insists on absolute low miles I feel it is overpriced for a base model without Nav and a plain interior. I’m not saying there isn’t someone out there that will pay close to asking price.

imho the premium for having a low miles car doesn't pan out with a LS430. Let's assume this is a 200k miles car all day long, every day. It's very likely a 300k car with proper care. If you purchase a car at 24k, or 100k, what is the difference to you the buyer....does the latter fail 76k miles sooner? Are you going to drive the vehicle into the ground?
To put it simply, these prices are a swindle and a p*** LOL It's like an employer trying to buy out a pension, do you think they are paying more than the annuity is worth? If so, why are they approaching you? (a person my age I don't even think it is possible that a pension is > than what is insured by the PBGC, currently around $5420/mo. My next door neighbor's is way higher so yes if it were he might accept a buyout if the co. is shaky)

Bottom line is regardless how low the miles are it is still a 12 year old car that has been exposed to the elements. We are talking about age and what it does to to every part in the car. Deterioration. Less miles on the road but aging nevertheless.

I had been in contact with the Cadillac dealer (Autonation) about this car. I had registered the LS430 as mine on the Lexus “Drivers” site so I could check if it had a service history at Lexus dealers. It did have a history that showed the sunroof motor didn’t work. In late August 2018 Lexus Clearwater (Autonaton) evaluated it and rather than keep it, “wholesaled” it out to the Cadillac dealer. That Lexus Clearwater wholesaled a 24k mile LS430 told me something was up. I contacted Autonation and they said it was “solid”. I asked about the sunroof and a manager checked it out and yes the sunroof doesn’t work. And, it has blisters on the dash due to sun/heat damage. CPCC noted a leak and worn brakes. The Lexus Driver’s site now shows that someone took it back to Clearwater Lexus for a pre-purchase inspection in early October. That inspection noted worn brakes. Probably other stuff because the car is still for sale at the high price.
I live in Northern Virginia and it was too much of a risk for me. Instead, I purchased a silver 2006 at Germain Lexus in Naples, FL. It didn’t have the Navigation which is what I prefer. It was in great shape and Germain Lexus fixed a steering wheel motor and did about $1,700 in service. I gambled that a Lexus dealer would keep it if it was in good shape. I paid a little premium $14.6 (dealer fees) but the car has no issues. I drove it back to Northern Virginia (1,048 miles) and it runs like a top.
