Default my New LS

HI,

I used to own a 1998 Lexus LS400 from 2001 to 2013. I got into an accident and my insurance declare the car totaled with 225K miles. I went to dark side and owned an Audi S4 then an Audi S7. But decided to get rid of the Audi S7, didn’t want to take anymore depreciation hit. So, this leads to my new 2007 LS460 with 200k miles. Call me crazy from going one extreme to the other. I will have pictures when I pick up the car.

my new LS also has upgraded Brembos.

Pho

Yea. I love these luxury vehicles but I'm just tired of letting the vehicle depreciates plus I wanted to replace a Mazda3 I've been driving from my daughter when she changed her vehicle to a IS350. I figure I'm not spending a lot of money and the vehicle maintenance records was very good with a lot of work done already. Its the first car, I ever brought with 200k miles, I'm hoping it'll get me to 300k miles.

New cars like the S7 (and even the LS) depreciate roughly 50% in their first 3 years of ownership. Surprisingly little difference between models and brands. But 50% of a new $90,000 S7/LS is a lot more than 50% of a new $15,000 Hyundai!

What year was your s7, and what size engine??? I ask this, because you might end up saving a Lil gas wit the LS460.

Congrats...they are great cars. I have not posted much since I bought my 07 LS nearly 6 months ago because it has been bulletproof....have been enjoying driving it tho.

I was just looking at Audi S7's today. How is the overall build quality and reliability on them?

Just from curiosity I'm anxious to see the new S7. Apparently Audi did a significant refresh. At one point my wife was interested in this car.

Congrats Pho, we're waiting for the pics!

thanks. I flew to Atlanta and drove over 900 miles today. The car drove fine, pick up was great not as fast as the S7 but I am very satisfy. I do have vibration braking, most likely I have warped rotor. I hope I can drive another 100k and keep the exterior and the interior in great shape.

Wow, $7600? For that price and with a test drive and inspection, you can't go wrong. Sure, it will need regular maintenance but if you keep it 3 years and get nothing in trade, you've paid $2500 a year for a world class, luxury car!
